Tomorrow's lunch will be served in the concession stand by the track. We will have meal deals available for visitors to purchase if interested. The meal deal for visitors will cost $5.00 and consist of either: 2 BBQ hot dogs or 1 BBQ hamburger, chips, fresh veggies with homemade veggie dip, fruit and drink. See you there!
2021 GRADUATION
The Utopia ISD eighth grade promotion/graduation ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 10:00 AM in the school competition gym.
The Utopias ISD senior graduation ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 7:30 PM in the school competition gym.
Please note that both ceremonies will be held in the gym. Originally it was planned to hold the ceremonies outside. However, the current weather forecast is calling for rain on Saturday.
Friday, May 21st will be Calf Relays. Parents are welcome to attend. Friday is also an early release day. Students will be released and buses will run at 12:52 PM.

SUMMER MAINTENANCE POSITION
Utopia ISD is seeking to fill a summer maintenance position.
Good opportunity for a high school or college student!!
Duties will include assisting in summer maintenance work around the campus including, but not limited to, painting, pressure washing, mowing, trimming, moving equipment, cleaning storage buildings, basic use of drills, saws, and other hand-held power tools.
Applicants should be available to work Monday through Friday beginning May 24th, 2021 through July 30th, 2021.
Pay is dependent upon experience and expertise.
Interested individuals may pick up a paper application at the main office located in the Resource Building at 258 School Street.

The Utopia ISD Memorial Scholarship committee would like to thank Judy Huebner for her many years of service to the committee and the students of Utopia ISD. Mrs. Huebner has served on the committee since its inception approximately 20 years ago. The members would also like to welcome Mrs. Marisa Hathorn as the newest member of the committee. The Utopia ISD Scholarship Fund accepts donations year round. All donations go directly to support Utopia ISD students attending college.

Congratulations to our Lady Buffs golf team and Nolan Steelman for qualifying for the State 1A tournament!!! The ladies team placed 2nd overall at the Regional tournament held this week in Pfluggerville. Kylie Bomer WON the tourney, Grace Hale was 7th and Khloei Johnston was 8th. Other teams members are Cora Dean and Wing Li. Nolan Steelman placed 3rd in the men's division. Lady Buffs will compete in the state tournament May 10-11 in Austin. Nolan will compete May 17-18. Parents are welcome to attend. Please bring a lawn chair or folding chair and sit within the designated areas. No bleachers will be available.
Paticipation awards will be given to all students. A concession stand will be available at the the track. Proceeds will help fund the athletic banquet.

Earlier today, districts across the state experienced connectivity issues with the STAAR Online Testing Platform (SOTP). Students testing at Utopia ISD were affected by this unforeseen technical difficulty. Under the guidance of TEA and Region 20 students who were testing today online were dismissed for the day. Testing will resume tomorrow morning 04/07/21 at 8:00 am. All students involved have been notified of the change in schedule.
